Have you heard the news? There are a lot of video games out there. What’s even crazier is that they never stop coming. Don’t worry, though, because, with the help of the Games Release Radar, you’ll be updated on all the most interesting games coming out for the upcoming month. That means that when a game releases, you’ll have a direct path to find out how the game did with featured quotes from reviewers and if possible, review scores. Does that mean Games Release Radar will feature every game coming out? No, BUT if something releases that isn’t on the Games Release Radar and it’s a big hit, I will absolutely throw it on the board to make sure it gets as much love as possible. One last thing, if you, YES YOU, know of a game that’s coming out in the coming month and want to see it featured on the (say it with me) Games Release Radar, then let me know. You can either comment on the page or message me on Twitter @ChrisContinues.
Quidditch Champions: September 3 – (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, PC)
Astro Bot: September 6 – (PS5)
Review Round-up:
“You tend to start writing lines in your head when compiling a review, and one that stuck with me early was to call Astro Bot ‘the best platformer since Super Mario Odyssey’. Then I played a little more and started to think ‘maybe it’s better’.” – Stacey Henley, TheGamer
“Just a series of little moments of ‘oh that was really fun, OH, that was really fun, OH, that was REALLY FUN.’ I think Mario Odyssey is a great comparison. I think its the most joyous game I’ve ever played in my life. It is non-stop bliss. I’m over the damn moon. This is my most anticipated game of the year, it surpassed all of my expectations.” – Ben Hanson, MinnMax
“I can now die knowing that I’ve blasted bubbles of honey into the air using an elephant’s trunk, jumped up on them to reach the top of a triple-stack of chickens hiding in eggs, and then sucked the yolk out of said eggs using that same trunk. In other words, I can now die happy. For 30 years, Sony has given us a vast library of top-quality PlayStation games, but there has never been a mascot platformer among them to rival the heights that Nintendo’s Mario regularly reaches. Crash Bandicoot tried. Jak and Daxter had a decent run. Even Knack had a go, bless him. Now, though, a true contender has arrived.” – Simon Cardy, IGN
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2: September 9 – (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC)
Review Round-up:
“I haven’t played an action game as exhilarating as this in a while. Space Marine 2 is an absolute blockbuster. It is just good fun. I can’t wait to see where the game goes from here. I am sure Space Marine 2 will be the game I go back to quite often as new content drops. Its future definitely looks exciting.” – Marco Cocomello, Glitched
“Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 may not break the third-person shooter mold, but it looks amazing, makes good use of its Warhammer lore, and has brutal combat that just feels great.” – Chris Reed, IGN
“In an industry that is currently so fraught and volatile, Space Marine 2 is a smart and effective tactical strike. It at once sparks fond memories of the pre-Souls era of third-person action games, while also being cunningly adapted to survive in the modern gaming scene. It also looks mint and lets you smash aliens with a big hammer, which makes it difficult to dislike. It’s the KFC party bucket of video games, delightfully messy, almost certainly bad for you, and best shared with friends.” – Rick Lane, Eurogamer
