Blue Prince: Review Round Up

The video game industry is such a confusing place. I probably watch as many video game streams that showcase indie games as much as anyone online and yet, I had never heard of Blue Prince until just a few weeks ago. How is that possible? Why is everyone out here hyping up Silk Song, while this game exists? I don’t normally spoil the outcome of the review round up but apparently, this game is a masterpiece. Don’t believe me? Well, you’re in luck because I’ve got three reviews that will confirm that the hype is, indeed, very real.

Review Round-Up:

Blue Prince is one of the greatest video games I have ever played, but please: don’t read this review.

I admit, in a landscape of constantly evolving Google algorithms, explicitly asking you to go away in the first line of an article might be seen as a trifle eccentric. But Blue Prince is best experienced with as little foreknowledge as possible. Believe me when I tell you, this is a game you need to experience the way its creator intended. – Ewan Moore, GamingBible

Blue Prince stands as a puzzle adventure that balances trust in the player’s intuition with just enough guidance to prevent total disarray. Every discovered shortcut, every triumphant puzzle solution, and every unexpected twist makes your journey through the mansion feel incredibly personal. Gliding through these rooms with a mixture of awe and trepidation is a testament to the developer’s confidence in both the design and the player’s curiosity. If you’re looking for a game that thrives on your imagination and resourcefulness, Blue Prince is bound to leave a lasting impression. – Azario Lopez, Noisy Pixel

However, there is so much to explore in Blue Prince and it’s impressive how much richer the enigmatic tapestry grows as you play. Following a single thread consistently set me unraveling parts of the game’s world, politics, or intrigues I hadn’t previously even known existed. How deep you want to wrap into all of this is up to the player, and the game’s main objective is pleasantly accessible. I couldn’t resist grabbing at the veil of its more tantalizing riddles. – Jill Grodt, Indie Informer
