The first time I saw Post Trauma I got so excited. And no, it wasn’t the classic survival-horror-inspired gameplay or the creepy environments and monsters that did it. It was the protagonist. Have you ever played Resident Evil and thought, “Sure Jill and Chris are cool but what about this Barry guy?” Forget playing as young, good-looking people, I want to play as someone who looks like they have a bad back. And with Post Trauma I finally have a video game protagonist I can relate to… unless it’s revealed in the story that this guy has a tragic past where he mistreated his family or something. If that’s the case, then how dare someone suggest that this guy is relatable. What a terrible thing to say! The question remains, though. Can this old man help deliver Post Trauma a good game, or does he already have one foot in the grave?
Review Round-Up:

Post Trauma is a great way for players to witness what it was like for those of us who were there for the original Silent Hill. Jumping in without knowing what to expect and coming out of it positively impressed by what is there on offer. It’s a horror game that is admittedly unoriginal but has a very cool setting at least. It does what it does well and that makes it very much worth playing. – Eduardo Reboucas, Entertainium
