Donkey Kong Bananza: Review Round Up

Turn on any TV these days, and you’ll hear people talking about it: Release the names! Show us the files! Who else is involved!? But no matter how loud people scream, the government refuses to do what it promised. Just how deep does this go?!

That said, I’ve seen the latest piece of evidence with my own eyes, and I can tell you that there’s no smoke here. Maybe the list is real. Maybe people should go to jail for their past crimes, but not for this. In fact, I can safely say it doesn’t matter that I don’t even own a Switch 2. The moment I saw the Donkey Kong Bananza reveal, I knew the long-talked-about conspiracy of the “Nintendo Bump” held no weight here. Sure, maybe there have been Nintendo games in the past that have received review scores that were unjustly deserved. A 9 here and there. Hell! Maybe even a few 10s!

But history shows us that DK has never had the advantages of either Nintendo Privilege or the Nintendo Bump. Every millennial is more than aware of the DK Rap, yet, when Donkey Kong 64 is brought up, the media tells us we were wrong to love it. Do you know what we call that? We call that fake news! Do you know what isn’t fake news, though? It’s today’s Review Round Up for Donkey Kong Bananza! Many months ago, I predicted that one of the games nominated for Game of the Year at the Game Awards would be “whatever Nintendo is cooking up.” Well, folks, based on these reviews, Nintendo isn’t just cooking, they’re a 3-Star Michelin Restaurant. Don’t believe me? Check out these reviews!

Review Round-Up:

Donkey Kong Bananza is far deeper than I ever anticipated, and it’s absolutely one of this year’s best games. From the moment I started to the moment I finished, I was laughing and smiling through each sublevel while exploring, and Bananza elevates the 3D platformer to a new high for Nintendo by doubling down on what Super Mario Odyssey does so well while re-introducing one of its best characters in a new game. – Bobby Pashalidis, Console Creatures

Last but certainly not least, if you liked what you’ve read and watched, then, by all means, head on over to the Nintendo eShop to pick up Donkey Kong Bananza.
