You know what’s great about cozy games? No matter how bad things get outside your window, you can always depend on them to provide you with the sensation of a blanket pulled straight out of the dryer. One of the coziest games of the year is Tiny Bookshop. If you’re a fan of the cozy game genre, then you’ve known about Tiny Bookshop for quite some time, and its release couldn’t have arrived soon enough.
With a description that says, “leave everything behind and open a bookshop by the sea,” Tiny Bookshop looks to provide one of the dreamiest scenarios in all of cozy gaming. Don’t get me wrong, I love farming games, but have you ever actually tried to farm or take care of livestock? It’s hard. Everything smells. You head home at the end of the day with your once young, delicate hands riddled with blisters that remind you of the long day you spent melting underneath the sun. You’re not going to experience any of that running a bookshop by the ocean. What’s the worst that’s gonna happen? A crab steals a book? Let him have it. He probably needs it.
The question still remains. Is Tiny Bookshop yet another cozy game destined to be forgotten or the next great book we all can’t put down? Let’s find out.
Review Round-Up:

After one in-game year, I felt like I was really spending my time building a life in Bookstonbury, getting to know residents through their fun personal quests and taking part in major events whilst providing the populace with a good range of books to read. It’s cozy and literary heaven, but don’t be fooled by its simple appearance; Tiny Bookshop has enough strategy to have you thinking about the running of your bookshop, and it was a venture I never wanted to end. – Olivia Davies, Gaming Trend
Last but certainly not least, if you liked what you’ve read and watched, then, by all means, head on over to either the Nintendo eShop or Steam to pick up Tiny Bookshop.
