Just one more delivery, and maybe while I’m out, I’ll have enough time to figure out the rest of my life…

Set in a world of mystery and wonder, with a side of despair, A Pizza Delivery follows B, a young woman trying to figure out life, all while making her last delivery. Along the way, B will come across simplistic puzzles, mysterious items, notes, and others just as lost as she is. Thankfully for the ones B comes across, their sadness is solved by one of life’s greatest creations: a slice of pizza. Unfortunately, even in this economy, the price of pizza makes one have to ask, is it better to be sad and have money, or be out of money but be happy with a slice of pizza in hand?
What does that mean? Well, despite A Pizza Delivery delivering some memorable characters and creating some beautiful set pieces, the game’s price leaves one wondering what to do. While I mostly enjoyed my time as B, travelling throughout the world created by developer Eric Osuna, this isn’t a long journey. Unless you get stuck on a puzzle because of some indie game jank (cough, cough), most people should finish this game in around an hour. At the current price of $14, I don’t think that an experience like that is justifiable.
Everyone’s opinion on that may vary, though, and if you’re someone who isn’t bothered by the price or length of the game and are looking to find and support truly independent artists, then I would suggest checking out A Pizza Delivery. The talent involved in the game is clearly there. Even with some criticism, like the inability to skip cut scenes after failing a puzzle or not being able to access a puzzle because I wasn’t standing in the exact perfect spot, these are all things that can be overlooked if you go into it understanding that you’re playing someone’s first game.

Whether A Pizza Delivery is an order worth making is something I can’t decide for you. If the price is too much, I totally understand, but for those who make their way into Eric Osuna’s world, I hope they take their time and enjoy this creator’s debut game. I know I did.
