Finally, big news is coming from the PSN update… I’m just kidding, every week something happens, but this week we’ve got something special.
PlayStation Plus Games:
Mad Max
Mad Max is one of my favorite games of the generation. Not enough people have played and that’s a problem. Let me sell you on it really quick: you’re Mad Max, you shoot guns, you body slam people, car combat that’s ACTUALLY FUN, and a story in an open-world game that’s actually pretty solid and hangs with the Mad Max films. I beg you, do not miss out on this one.
Trackmania Turbo
Trackmania is a game that’s been on my radar for a long time and I couldn’t be happier hearing that it’s now free. What is it? It’s a racing game. HOLD ON! Before you leave, Turbomania is way more of an arcade-style racing game. It really just seems like dumb fun and I can’t wait to finally try it out.
New Releases:
Minit ($9.99)
I’m not entirely sure what this game is. It’s black and white, you die every minute, and it seems to be heavily inspired by Zelda… okay so maybe I’m sort of sure what this game is, but I’m still very confused about the concept. You die every minute? Huh?! Well, despite the fact that I don’t understand the game’s concept, I went ahead and bought it. It’s only $10 and the trailer looks really great. This year has already been filled with some great indie games and hopefully, Minit will continue that trend.
Impact Winter ($20.00)
So I thought I had it all figured out when Ni no Kuni and A Way Out released on Friday but then Far Cry 5 dropped on a Tuesday. So I thought, “okay, maybe Ni No and A Way Out are just abnormalities. Games are back to releasing on Tuesday.” NOPE! Impact Winter, a survival game that reminds me a lot of one of my favorite games, This War of Mine. I think survival games where you and your party can die are really interesting, thoughtful, fun(?) games and the fact that this one seems to be more “open” then something like This War of Mine, makes me even more excited.
Games on Sale!!!
Thimbleweed Park ($9.99)
I’m pretty sure this game is just going to always be on sale until we all buy it. That being said, a lot of people say this is a great game, so maybe we should finally stop pretending like we don’t want it and buy it. Just a thought.
Everything TellTale (different price$)
TellTale has a pretty big sale going on that ranges from season passes to all of their best titles plus you can buy Back To The Future too… Also, if for some reason you’ve always been interested in playing a TellTale game but have never played one before, you can buy almost their entire catalog for a discounted price. This studio makes great games and you would be a fool, A FOOL I SAY, to miss out.
