Ranking Robots is the newest tri-weekly series that will be making its appearance on the site every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday as I make my way through Netflix’s Love, Death + Robots. For those that are unaware of the Netflix Original, the show is a series of short stories that have to do with, you guessed it, Love, Death, and Robots. If anyone reading this ever saw the incredible collection of short films called the Animatrix (if you haven’t go check that out now) then you won’t have any trouble jumping into this new series.

Delivering a truly beautiful and heartbreaking tale of an old man who has lost everything in his life due to his crippling hoarding, The Dump stands out amongst all of the stories that have been talked about so far in Love Death and Robots simply because of its willingness to discuss a growing problem amongst the older people of America… or it’s a lackluster story that is only memorable because of the episode’s determination to show a man run around with his penis flopping everywhere. An episode, apart from the mass-murdering trash monster, that also fails to introduce any sort of likable character within the narrative of the story. Whichever it may be, The Dump truly is a stand out for the show overall.
