When I started doing Review Round Ups, it was with the goal of promoting both big and small games while making sure the talented people behind the reviews were reminded about how great of job they were doing. After all, the internet is full of awful people who say awful things, and even though my site is very small, if I can make someone’s day just a little better with some positivity, then great. With that said, it would only make sense that I would prefer to be mostly positive with Review Round Up and the rest of what gets posted on the site.
Now, why am I talking about this? Normally, Review Round Up starts with me saying something hilarious that then sets up me wondering if the game I’m covering is good or not, which then leads to the great reviews I mentioned earlier. Well, because I’m not typically interested in dogpiling onto a “bad” game, I tend to stay away from games that are receiving mostly negative reviews. Today, though, that’s changing, but for a very specific reason. Pixelshire is a game I’ve been excited about for a long time. The first time I saw it all the way back on June 11, 2022, I ran to Steam and put it on my wishlist. Then, when it was announced for PlayStation, I did it again. So, needless to say, when I started seeing negative reviews for the game, I was caught completely off guard.
So why am I making a Review Round Up? Normally, I would delete a game like this from Release Radar and pretend it never existed, but I was so excited for Pixelshire that I wanted to give the developers a chance to eventually fix what didn’t work. For me, the plan is simple. I want to come back in a few months, finally purchase Pixelshire, and hopefully be able to tell everyone that this cozy game so many were excited for has turned things around. In fact, the developers have already given an update on the game’s Steam page about what their current plans are to address the issues with the game.

But before future Chris is able to come back and tell you what the developers have fixed about the game, we’re gonna need some much more talented people to explain why Pixelshire just isn’t working in its current form.
Review Round-Up:

Last but certainly not least, if you liked what you’ve read and watched, then, by all means, head on over to Steam to pick up Pixelshire. All you need to do is click the image below and you will be taken to the store of your choosing. Also, I lied. One final, final thing, thank you for checking out the site. If you like this type of content, the Thinks of a Thoughter Games Release Radar will be doing this for every interesting game released this year.
