With so many incredible streams, I feel safe saying that this year is THE BEST Summer Game Fest yet. With today’s article, I’m only covering the 11 games that got me the most excited, but don’t worry, because my favorite article of the year is coming up next when I talk about my favorite 25 indie games that I saw from the week. With such a great year, the indie list was, without a doubt, the toughest list I’ve had to make. But we’re not here to talk about only indie games. With the Top 11 List, everyone is allowed. I don’t care if your budget was 500 million dollars or just 500 dollars. Whether the game was made by 1000 people or 10 people. If you made a game and I saw it this week, you’re eligible for the coveted Top 11. And before we start, it’s important to remember that the best way to support these titles while they’re still being worked on is by adding them to your wishlist. Now, without further ado, this is The 11 Best Games from Summer Game Fest 2026.

11.) Star Wars: Zero Company

10.) Fable

• Fable returns in a stunning reboot of a beloved franchise. As the first Hero in a generation, explore a living Albion filled with peculiar characters, dark humour, and chickens… lots of chickens. This isn’t just nostalgia — it’s a new beginning set in a beautifully vibrant open world.
• Customize your Hero’s appearance and wield powerful weapons as you weave melee, ranged, and magical combat. Take on bandits, beasts, and creatures — including brand-new enemies and fan-favorites like Hobbes, Balverines, and Trolls. Your power grows right alongside your reputation.
• Beyond all the combat lies a living world where you can carve your own identity. Get filthy rich as a landlord or blacksmith, romance a villager (or three), have a bunch of kids, and watch as your reputation precedes you. Being a Hero is a bit like being a celebrity… if celebrities carried swords and occasionally battled giant fire-breathing chickens.

9.) God of War: Laufey

• Experience the next chapter of the legendary God of War franchise – for both new and returning fans alike.

8.) Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance

• Continuing on from the story set up in Monster Hunter Wilds, Ascendance expands on the world and gameplay with new areas and monsters, new hunter actions, and the introduction of Master Rank quests.
• New monsters await you in the Eastlands! New threats arise with the emergence of elder dragons. Their presence alone is enough to bring about catastrophic destruction.
• With the addition of the Boost Bracer, your arsenal expands with the devastating new attacks. Unleash the hunter within.

7.) Marvel’s Wolverine

• Ravage enemies with explosive brutality and unleash razor-sharp adamantium claws to deploy fast, fluid attacks and overcome impossible odds.

5.) Grave Seasons

• Grave Seasons is a narrative led farming sim with a terrifying twist – someone in the town is a supernatural serial killer.  
• fter a treacherous escape from jail, you’ve made it to your new home in Ashenridge, an idyllic town with some seriously unsettling vibes. While trying to establish your new farming life and embed yourself in the neighborhood, murders start to occur in the town, putting your new peaceful life at risk.
• Grow crops, fish, mine, and participate in the local economy by selling your goods in town. Just remember that what you harvest will play a critical role in your ability to unravel the mysteries of Ashenridge.
• In a cruel twist of fate, you’ve become wrapped up in the sudden murders plaguing this cozy town. Search for clues and investigate the unique townsfolk to uncover the dark truth. What’s a little bit of breaking and entering between friends anyway?
• Discover and craft precious items to ward off against whatever is stalking the town. It’s down to your investigation skills to identify the next victim and save more blood from being spilled.
• Finding a serial killer is no easy task. To do so, you’ll need to complete quests for the townsfolk and build up their trust. Everything you do – or don’t do – will affect how the story plays out. And yes, you can even romance the killer.

3.) Resident Evil: Veronica

• 3 months have passed since the biological disaster in Raccoon City. Claire Redfield, having survived along with Leon S. Kennedy and Sherry Birkin, travels to France in search of her brother, Chris Redfield.
• However, what awaits her is not a reunion with her brother, but the Umbrella special forces unit responsible for the incident. They capture Claire and transport her to a mysterious island.
• Now Claire must make a desperate attempt to escape the remote Rockfort Island, which due to another biological disaster, has transformed into a living hellscape of survival horror.
